We booked a table early on a Friday evening, the restaurant was quite busy but not overly packed.We ordered the Tasting Plate to start it sounded perfect for all of our tastes.Unfortunately it arrived 'stone cold', we consequently told the waiter and he said he said he was very sorry and would replace it another.It arrived only slightly warmer than the first.We then ordered our Mains and they also arrived cold.My husband said just leave it - I cannot be bothered waiting for another meal that will also probably be cold.I cannot say that I have eaten anywhere before where the food was served cold..?It was overly expensive and definitely overrated for the food we received.We could have eaten fa...
Well, I would rate the city here in term of "service". They really know how to treat clients and this place is no exception. We arrived quite late without booking and they found us a place quickly and politely. We ordered two rib ears and a chicken drum stick. All the food was excellent, the red wine was good and not terribly expensive. But I want to commend the staff for their efficiency and overall politeness and friendliness. Also, the restaurant itself is very nice and very convenient. We will go back for sure!
I went there with some work colleagues for lunch. Here's my take: the calamari entree was fantastic. I have never had calamari this nice. The mains was chicken with some cheeses and something else I can't recall. I thought the chicken piece (leg) was a bit small - almost quail like - but it was nice. The table service after the mains was slow but hey, that happens and the place was full. In short this place is worth having lunch at.
Went to lunch with some work colleagues to celebrate a work success. There were 18 of us and we had the 3 course set lunch menu. Everyone raved about their individual choices. My brisket entree was fantastic and I could have had more. The Wagyu rump was cooked to my liking, the chips and the black garlic butter complimented the steak and the apple pie for dessert topped the meal off. Will definitely go back

Celebrated my son's birthday here last night and although it is not a family orientated restaurant, the waiters and staff went over and beyond to ensure we were well looked after (even bringing out a complimentary creme Brûlée for the birthday boy!)Service and food was excellent. The wagu rump with the blue vein sauce was a real winner. What a memorable evening. Highly recommend.
My 3rd visit to this delightful venue. The food has always been great, but today was an even better experience. The most deliciously seasoned wagyu tartare and a new Yorker steak paired with pinot noir . Excellent food, excellent service and ambience and beautiful as always food selections. Affogato and a port to finish! Thanks for a great evening!
Excellent venue for a business lunch or dinner, this restaurant is a must visit if you're serious about steak. Aged cuts cooked nicely, no complaints from this carnivore. Not the cheapest, but certainly good quality. If you enjoy a well prepared, no fuss, flavoursome steak, then give Meat & Wine Co a go-I'm sure you wont be disappointed!
We celebrated our anniversary with a romantic dinner at Meat and Wine Co. We mentioned it in our booking request. They went above and beyond to make our night special. We sat at a great table with the most amazing view, received wonderful service and the food was out of this world! I would definitely recommend paying them a visit!

Had our dinner there and we ordered. Must try their Wagyu 450D and slow cook ribs. It's juicy and extremely tasty.The service is also excellent and staff are extremely polite. We had the private room for 12 and were very well taken care of.Highly recommended for any meat lovers who stop by Melbourne.
We walked in without a booking in a group of 10 with a short wait the staff did everything they could to get us a table. I order the meat board just wow everything was amazing including the wine. Everyone on the table would have rated it a 10/10 what an experience Thanks we will be back
