I booked the Southern Belle for my Wedding after party. I have been emailing and met face to face with a very lovely lady and booked the place. the fallowing day when i needed to ask for a confirmation before i order in the invitations) i recived an email from another lady the manager) who advised me that she has been on holiday in Miami and i have been dealing with her staff and that there is a fee involved as well as i have to book all rooms above etc There was a lot more involved then I have been told originally. Also what made me step back when she kindly told me that doesnt need my booking as she has a very good business going and she has already reached her 12 a year big party bookings...
Firstly, on arrival we received a cordial and genuine welcome. Having booked a table for Sunday lunch it was ready for us. Despite being a buzzy and busy afternoon we were given attentive service. Lunch was delicious and thoughtfully served by the kitchen team. Where a great level of service becomes outstanding is that my friend took unwell during our visit, the level of care and attention we received was deeply heart warming. What we received was the purest and kindest experience that went beyond excellent customer service. A true reflection of the owners genuine passion to her patrons and hospitality. Many thanks.
Came for our anniversary. Beautiful comfy room, enormous bed, well beyond the '2-star hotel ' rating (we 'll be looking out for those now! . It 's 1min from the quieter part of the beach, but short walk to all the bars and usual haunts. After we checked out we strolled along the coast and enjoyed hot kipper rolls, watching the sea and dog walkers on the chilly autumn day. Wish we 'd had space to return to the pub for the roast. Staff are v friendly and the place looked alive and ready for a perfect Sunday ahead.
Came here with my boyfriend for a Sunday roast. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the bar itself is done up really nicely and has a great atmosphere and the food was brilliant. Roast potatoes were crispy, yorkies some really well and my vegetarian wellington was really good. Some places we have been the vegetarian option has been a little disappointing but it’s clear that the southern belle put just as much effort into their veggie substitute as they do the meat. Thanks guys!

Sad story of food was great, but customer service was poor... waited over an hour for our Sunday lunch because they had a table of 24 before us that caused the delay not even a free drink offered! After we'd finished we were told, not that apologetically, that we'd have to finish our drinks at the bar as the next sitting for our table was waiting... hello?! Sort your bookings out!!! I won't go back there's plenty of great places for Sunday lunch in Brighton other than the Southern Belle
We made a reservation for a group of 24 people for Sunday lunch to conclude our weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease right away. We were provided with a private room for our group, which was elegantly decorated. The roast dinner was outstanding, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, despite the large group size. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend paying a visit.
After hearing rave reviews and receiving multiple recommendations, I finally decided to visit Southern Belle with some friends for a birthday roast dinner. We were all very impressed by the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere of the pub. The roast dinners, both vegan and meat options, were exceptional and received rave reviews from all of us. I would highly recommend booking a table in advance as the restaurant tends to get busy.
Have been here a couple of times for drinks, but this time we had some wings/fries/peppers etc. The food was so yummy and we all enjoyed it. The staff are so lovely and very friendly. Would recommend a visit! Just a nice relaxing place to eat and drink and only a short walk from the sea.

I have visited this place multiple times.... It is a lovely pub in the front with cozy rooms upstairs. They also offer a continental breakfast.
