I went into Tim Hortons with my son for a light snack around 12:30 pm. It was busy and they had a big line-up. When I finally ordered, I wanted a small house salad and the cashier couldn't tell me which dressings they had, but he went to ask. I wanted ranch but he couldn't find the button to ring in my dressing choice. I suggested that he just tell them which one I wanted but he said "they'll get mad!?" I also ordered a pain bagel without butter for my son. The bagel came out with butter on it so I went back up to say my order was wrong. The same male cashier (in front of my face) told the bagel maker "they wanted no butter, I guess" I was getting a bit annoyed by now and said you do not gue...
There were a lot of empty tables, but few places to sit and enjoy lunch when we stopped at this location of Tim Hortons. While that may seen strange, there was a sign up that staff would clean off the tables, but staff was busy behind the counter and so tables were left as is....that is until customers seeking a place to sit then piled the dishes on a nearby table thus making it even more difficult to sit and enjoy lunch.As for the meal, typical Hortons, no more, no less.
Just the type of place you want when you get up early to head back home. The coffee is consistently good (not old and bitter.) I usually get a Cinnamon Roll - sweet, but not overly so (I like that.) My wife likes their muffins - has had a variety over the years (very good, she says.) I really wish we had a Tim Hortons back home around Boston.
We don't drink dairy so if we want coffee, there aren't many options for us here. If we are prepared ahead of time and bring our own almond milk we're ok. For food options, we can get oatmeal or a plain bagel with nothing on it. While there aren't many options for people that don't eat meat or dairy, we can manage.
I honestly don’t know how I survived this long without Tim Hortons. I’m seriously considering becoming an expatriate becoming a Canadian citizen just on the basis of this one company. The spinach omelette bites are so good I literally put my hand on my heart for the Leaf, hell yes I did.
We wonder if anyone ever gets tired of this chain's incredible donuts. This time we had the Glazed, Double Strawberry, and Whoopie Pie variety. Wow! Fresh and delicious once again. This location is a bit tough to navigate both entering and exiting so be careful (for tourists anyway.)
