Vincent's Cafe Restaurant

We were staying at the Beaumaris Motel just around the corner and their restaurant wasn't open (the chef was on holidays) so we 'found' Vincent's Cafe and luckily snagged a table for two for dinner at 7.30pm just before New Year 2017. They had a special, a drink, garlic bread, a small salad and a choice of entree size pasta dish for $20 so I chose Lasagna and husband Chilli Prawns. DELICIOUS. Good service, friendly, nice atmosphere but busy and I could see why. I would describe menu as Italian. Wood fired pizza's which were very popular. A group of six senior ladies were celebrating one lady's birthday. We booked for 5.30 pm Saturday night, and had a lovely round window table. Staff were most helpful, as we waited for the birthday girl to arrive. Although the special deals were not on, there was a huge assortment to choose from. Two of us chose the Seafood Platter $32 each (It looks like $132 on the menu :(. Fortunately the kind waitress advised us there wasn't enough spaces between choices 1 and 2.. One chose the chicken roulade, one the barramundi salad, one the duck. All were large serves and beautifully presented. Just returned from a birthday dinner. The table set up was strange with 2 round tables either end of 2 square tables Not sure where to start as it was all dreadful ! Waiters did not hv a clue ... very young , inexperienced and too few of them. First ordered drinks .... beers took a good 20 minutes to arrive - thank God we took wine otherwise it would hv been a longer wait. Main meals took 40 minutes ... seeing we had 5 kids , they should hv thought to have brought kids food first - thank goodness for the garlic bread - filled us up whilst waiting My kids had nacho pizza - there was nothing on the menu that suggested there was capsicum .... which they don't eat , my seafood spaghetti dry and...

I hadn't been to Vincent's for several years until last weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed my meal as part of a large group. Service was good, orders quickly taken and meals arrived quite quickly too. Servings are moderate to large and members of our group were happy with the quality of their meal. Used plates and glasses were quickly removed.I enjoyed the calamari mains - the calamari was beautifully cooked. Our group didn't have an entree or dessert on this occasion. Reserva una mesa ahora

We went to Vincents for our wedding anniversary lunch, and we both had the lunch special. For $13.50 per person we each got a salad (from a choice of 4), a pasta (from a choice of about 10), and a soft drink (wine was also an option). The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was attentive, and we did not have to wait long for our meals. Definitely recommend Vincents.

Have been here many times, either with my family or with friends and every time one thing remains the same, excellent service. Food is always delicious and the girls that run around looking after you are always happy to get you whatever you need. Do yourself a favour and try the lamb shanks and the sticky date pudding, both my favorites.

Waitresses didn't listen to order. When she brought the wrong thing she argued with me. Also the menu doesn't list everything that comes in the dish and a friend who can't eat cream ended up with a cream sauce. Then the waitresses tried to tell us that is was on the menu and when she checked we were right.

Food was ordinary, staff were friendly, prices were reasonable as well. I reckon it'd be ok for kids pre-going out eats on a budget, or an 18th birthday on a budget. It was just ordinary, menus items sounded great and well-crafted, but did not cross the finish line first. Reserva una mesa ahora

I can't really think of anywhere in Melbourne especially a nice part of Melbourne where you can get a salad, & pizza or pasta & a glass of wine for $20 for dinner. Very high quality food, friendly & professional staff. Simply superb, can't fault a thing.

A group of 6 of us dined here and all enjoyed our meals. From an antipasto plate (very generous serving) to pizza, gnocci and barramundi, all meals were good. The service is friendly and not rushed, with plenty of time to chat and enjoy the meals.
