Wanted to like this place but I think I’m just not a fan of the bbq style. I’m from Louisiana and used to a southern BBQ with sweet honey BBQ sauce not tangy sauce. The meat wasn’t dry but it was a little lacking in flavor and then, like I said, I like a sweet sauce and I didn’t really care for the sauce choices they had. The corn bread and Mac and cheese was a little dry but I did like the Mac and cheese flavor. I liked the potato salad as well. My husband and I ordered the banana pudding and peanut butter pie and we both took a couple bites and threw them away. They just were not good unfortunately. Service was good and atmosphere was friendly and clean.
Long ago, far longer than 70 days, I amended my carnivorous habits. {With apologies to Jimmy Buffett, may he rest in peace} Yet my family still luvs that sumptuous BBQ our great country forever offers. So, our first ordering up at Willard’s? Indescribable. Absolutely. Undeniably. At a fantastically very reasonable cost! And though a bit far from Falls Church City, we definitely will be back! Soon! F’real? Yup… Hands down, the BBQ here is that good!
This location used to be wonderful but the quality went downhill. I went yesterday, got a brisket platter and the meat had absolutely no flavor at all, and it was chewy, I could not eat it. Ended up taking it home, I will chop out and boil it in a bean stew, hopefully it will be easier to eat and gain some flavor from the soup.
The food was ok as the brisket was too fatty to enjoy. The restaurant wasn't busy and must be more of a lunch place. I couldn't figure out why they had all the famous BBQ joints on the wall. Presumptuous to put themselves among BBQ royalty.

Wish the bbq had the sauce mixed in! Was bland. Order pies Key lime was Horrible so chemical tasting!! Didn’t eat much a bit or two. Took home peanut butter pie was better but not by much Don’t waste your money on the pie.
We got 3 plates with beef brisket, pulled pork, short ribs and a bunch of sides. Really good BBQ meats, really flavorful. The baked beans definitely earned its spot on the plate
When I saw jerk chicken on the menu that should have been a sign to leave. This was not jerk chicken just roasted dry chicken w a little bit of jerk sauce.
Food quality is top notch, service is excellent. Resturant is clean. You will not walk away broke or hungry.
