Looking for some grub in a town I've never been in, I decided to give YELP the holla and see what they recommend. Dantes has highly rated reviews that delivered BOARS HEAD, so I instantly drove here with its close proximity of my location at the time. The deli is fairly easy to find and has parking in the front and many spaces in the back. The place looks clean and workers were inviting. With all the rave about the Italian combo, my decision was easily made. The result: Italian comes with a slice of pepperoni, salami, a ton of ham, provolone, LTO, and oil vinegar. Just had an awesome Spicy Italian hero (special) from Dante's. The sub was packed with meats and absolutely delicious. Also had their red skinned potato salad and rotini pasta salad. Both were about average+. You really can't go wrong with anything you get at Dante's. The owners are no nonsense and take their business seriously it comes through in their great sandwiches (especially, cold subs). Easily one of, if not the best Italian deli in Bergen County.

Visited this deli the past weekend and had no clue it was there. I ordered the turkey cheddar melt with bacon, the sandwich was good there was a little too much bread but for next time I can try to ask for different bread. The staff was friendly and accommodating to time and suggestions. I'd recommend this deli to the next person.

Best Italian deli in Bergen county, I 've been coming here for over 20 years and can 't remember ever being let down by the service or quality of the food. Wow! What a great sandwich! Tried the spicy Italian and it 's amazing! The saltiness isn 't overpowering and the bread is just right. Their small is pretty big, so I can 't imagine what a large is! I think I found my new deli spot! One of the best sandwich places I ever had

So sad that this institution of sandwich heaven is no more. For countless years this place always ranked as one of the top delis in Bergen country. Don't know what happened but I hope they have simply moved to another location.

Spicy Italian is a go-to. Bread can sometimes get soggy from the hot peppers so make sure you're eating it soon after purchase.
