Based on all the hype surrounding the Italian combo, my choice was a no-brainer. I ordered the Italian sub, which includes pepperoni, salami, a generous amount of ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and oil and vinegar. I opted for extra vinegar and onions. My total came to $7.75 in cash.
The long roll was fresh and soft, great for a late afternoon meal, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor and ranked in the bottom half of long rolls I've tried. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were fresh, but I didn’t receive the extra onions I had asked for.

I just had a fantastic Spicy Italian hero (special) from Dante's. The sandwich was loaded with meat and absolutely delicious. I also tried their red-skinned potato salad and rotini pasta salad, both of which were decent but not outstanding. You really can’t go wrong with anything from Dante's. The owners are straightforward and take their business seriously, and it shows in their excellent sandwiches, particularly the cold subs. Easily one of the best Italian delis in Bergen County, if not the best.
I visited this deli last weekend and was surprised to find it. I ordered the turkey cheddar melt with bacon, and while the sandwich was tasty, it did have a bit too much bread. Next time, I’ll remember to request a different type of bread. The staff was friendly and accommodating with timing and suggestions. I would definitely recommend this deli to others!
The best Italian deli in Bergen County! I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and I can't recall a single time I've been disappointed by the service or the quality of the food. Each sandwich is better than the last, always generously filled. We've also used Dante's catering service on multiple occasions, and we've always been thoroughly satisfied.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! I've been visiting for many years and can confidently say it's the best deli in Bergen County. Everything on the menu is delicious, and the staff is incredible. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich or having a party catered, you can expect amazing food every time!
Wow! What a great sandwich! Tried the spicy Italian and it 's amazing! The saltiness isn 't overpowering and the bread is just right. Their small is pretty big, so I can 't imagine what a large is! I think I found my new deli spot! One of the best sandwich places I ever had
It's truly unfortunate that this beloved sandwich spot is no longer around. For many years, it was consistently recognized as one of the best delis in Bergen County. I’m not sure what led to its closure, but I sincerely hope they have relocated to a new space.
It was a mediocre Italian deli that tried to impress but fell flat. The food was overpriced and looked like it had been sitting in the display cases for days. Good riddance!

Spicy Italian is my top choice. Just a heads up: the bread can occasionally become soggy from the hot peppers, so it's best to enjoy it soon after you buy it.
Fantastic spot for sandwiches! They serve one of the best Italian subs I've ever tasted.
