Don is incredibly friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to prepare my meal just the way I wanted it, and it exceeded my expectations! I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast, and this simple breakfast was of five-star restaurant quality. I took a bite in the car to sample it and ended up finishing the whole meal right in the parking lot! Trust me, I WILL BE BACK! If you're in the Riverdale area, you have to stop by! I know how challenging it can be to find good, affordable restaurants with quality food, so take it from me—Don's Cafe is one of Riverdale's best-kept secrets! Go see for yourself! This is not clearly mentioned in the Google listing, but Don's Cafe is located inside a government building. You need to go through security to access it, which includes passing through a metal detector and showing ID. While you're welcome to eat there, I found the experience a bit unexpected and awkward. The kitchen appeared clean, so I won't comment on that aspect.
