I visited Lamprai and Spice Café for the second time this month with my family, and it was absolutely worth the trip from Halifax to enjoy Suni's authentic and flavorful dishes. As someone who loves spicy and exotic foods, I was thoroughly impressed by the meals she prepared for us, showcasing her impressive culinary skills. We indulged in the three available combo meals on both occasions: tamarind beef, coconut shrimp, and butter chicken. Since I enjoy my food particularly spicy, she kindly provided me with a chili shrimp sambol to enhance the already fantastic butter chicken—amazing! The side dishes, with their intricate blend of spices and ingredients, were a delightful explosion of flavo...
Absolutely delightful food and exceptional service—what more could you want? As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Suni, the sweetest lady, who truly made our day with her cheerful and charming personality. My husband and I decided to share the curry chicken with rice and a pork and noodle dish. Honestly, one dish would have been enough for both of us, as the portions are generous. Both meals were outstanding and had just the right level of spice. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this place to everyone!
The owners are extremely friendly, and the food is fantastic. It’s not overly spicy, making it perfect for those of us who prefer milder flavors. The menu changes daily, which keeps things interesting. It's quite popular, so it's best to go earlier in the day to avoid the crowds.
