Ocean Breeze Fish & Chips

We decided to try this fish and chip shop based on my mother's recommendation, as it is her favorite place. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. We ordered two flake, six calamari rings, and six potato cakes. The flake servings were larger than usual, well-cooked, and not greasy. The potato cakes were delicious. The calamari rings were large, but unfortunately, some of them had too much batter, leaving raw batter inside a few of them. The same issue occurred with one of the pieces of flake. Despite this, I would still go back and recommend this place, just be cautious of the amount of batter on your food.

I have been getting my take away fish n chips at the Ocean Breeze for about 15 years. I first learnt about this fine establishment when it was written up in The Age Epicure as the best in the West. Whilst there is a lot more competition in the area my view is simple if it is not broken don't fix it. We eat fish n chips once every 2-3 weeks particularly after swimming lessons on Wednesday night. I always phone ahead and the grilled flake is a favourite. Many other establishments could learn a lot from this family run business. If I could suggest one thing to improve they need to add EFTPOS.

I've been going to Ocean Breeze for well over a decade. In that time nothing has changed: same great fish and chips served by the same grumpy people.Grumpy is probably a bit unfair, but I'm pretty sure the family running it lost the love for the business long ago.But the point is the food, and it's great. The best in the west.My tip: the hamburgers are very old school fish and chip shopGet your fish grilled, it's delicious.

The best fish chip shop I have ever been to. I travel across town to come here. The batter on the fish is superb, and they clearly use top quality Australian seafood.Does anyone know if/when the shop is going to reopen? This is easily the best fish and chips in the West. We have had most things on the menu including Steak Sandwiches, Burgers, Souvlaki, Fish, Chiko Rolls, Crab Sticks etc and all is amazing!! These guys are always busy so phone ahead. Good sign of just how good they are.

This restaurant serves the best local fish and chips. It has an old-school vibe and has been run by the same Greek family for over 20 years. My favorite day to visit is Friday because of their delicious food. Cheers!
