Spice Kitchen West African Grill

My husband and I were visiting from Calgary, AB, Canada, and we decided to explore Nigerian restaurants in the area. Arriving with hearty appetites, he ordered the shrimp suya jollof rice bowl while I opted for the lamb suya jollof rice bowl. The first bite was incredibly delicious, instantly transporting me back to Nigeria. I felt a wave of nostalgia. The food was exceptional, with the jollof rice cooked to perfection and just the right amount of smokiness. Both the shrimp and lamb suya were fantastic, and the fried plantains were perfectly ripe. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2021, but I’m really disappointed with my last couple of takeout orders. The food just hasn't been fresh, and the jollof rice had an odd taste this time. I expect my meals to be made fresh, especially considering the prices. I don’t want to eat food that’s clearly day-old, and I’m frustrated that I have to throw this meal away. This is simply unacceptable, and as of now, I won’t be ordering from here again. It’s a shame that you seem to be serving recycled food instead of preparing fresh meals for your customers.

I had been looking forward to visiting Spice Kitchen West African Grill for quite some time, and I finally went with a friend last night. The food was fantastic, nearly as good as my mom's, which is a tough standard to meet. However, I do have to take off some points because my meal and drink weren't at the right temperatures.
