Who says you can't find authentic Mexican cuisine on the East Coast? This place is fantastic! I was skeptical at first since it’s located in a mall, but as soon as we checked out the menu and the friendly woman came over to take our order, I had a feeling we were in for something special—and I was right. My daughter and I both ordered quesadillas, and they were delicious. The three sauces served alongside were all flavorful, and the pickled vegetables had just the right touch of spice. We’ll definitely be back whenever we're in the DC area.
Hit or miss! Careful what you order. My plate was not good. I ordered some type of Tostada. Can?t remember the proper name (see picture below) the tortilla wasn?t toasty enough. Tasted like an unwrapped burrito. But other party members meal like the pansita! And sope were good. Overall the this Mexican food restaurant is missing little things like adding guacamole to your meal. That is a must!! They also should through in a little pick de gallo! Quiet little hole-in-the-wall spot in Hyattsville, serving up authentic Mexican tacos. I got one all pastor and one cecina, and both meats were nicely grilled. I also got a sope with carnitas that I?d probably skip next time in favor of an extra taco or two (the taste was overwhelmingly refried beans). Horchata was good, too. Pro tip: It?s only 25¢ more per taco to get a handmade tortilla.
This charming little restaurant is delightful! The food was outstanding, and our server was exceptionally friendly, taking the time to explain the dishes we didn't know. If you're searching for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend this place!

Visited Taco Rico while visiting at the Campus convention center there. Very authentic atmosphere. There were 3 of us. 2 of us brought food home so the serving size was good for the money. . Food was GREAT!!!
The wait times may be slightly longer, but you won't discover more genuine Mexican cuisine anywhere else. This place is definitely worth a visit!
The food here is incredible! I visit frequently, and it never fails to impress. If I could give them a 10-star rating, I absolutely would!
My sopes were delicious. I tried al pastor, lengua, and asada. The agua de Jamaica wasn’t great, but the salsas were amazing!
