Thip and her husband have been running this business for more than 20 years. I remember eating here when I first arrived in Canberra. I am one of many fans who return week after week for delicious home style cooked Thai dishes. The restaurant is small and located in the Belconnen Churches centre close to the mall and opposite the ABS building. Business is brisk and busy. They are open weekdays only for lunch between 12-2pm and dinner starts around 5.30. It is not a high end restaurant but a small family run, delicious dishes that are considerably cheaper than other restaurants. My favourites are the Pad See Ew, Lad Na, tom yum soup noodle. These are about $12-15 depending on whether you sele...

I am quite a fan of Pad Thai and have tried upwards of about 15 different places in Canberra. Thip's comes a very close 2nd for quality and flavour, but if we compare with price as well as Thip's is #1. The Pad Thai was $12 and absolutely delicious. Service was average but they were incredibly busy as people know how good it is. We took take away and asked for it nice and spicy, we received a standard take away container full of Pad Thai but the chilli flakes were sprinkled in the corner and highly concentrated. Because the sauce is sticky, the flakes wouldn't spread. That is the only minor complaint and it really wasn't an issue. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I have been coming to Thip's Thai since 2008 and it has never disappointed.Yes, the setting is basic & outdated but the food is in a league of its own.Always fresh, authentic and full of flavor, Thip and Deng never fail to deliver on service and quality.Hidden away in the concrete jungle that is the Churches Centre, it's best to park in the Westfield car park adjacent to Myer and walk across the white pedestrian bridge to the restaurant. My favorites are the pad Thai, BBQ pork, laksa and Tom yum. Needless to say I'll keep going back!

Most Thai restaurants in Canberra have been localized in taste. They are not authentic to Thai people. However, this place is one of the best places in ACT and NSW, and probably the best in Canberra. As a Thai, I can guarantee the food here is authentic Thai. As for Pad Thai, this one is the second best I have had so far in my life. The best I had was in the northeastern Thailand. There are some Thai food I hate, i.e., Jungle curry, but every Thai food I hate are so delicious when I have it here. You will regret if you miss this. Reserva una mesa ahora

Everyone is correct in saying the decor is shopfront with plastic chairs. But the food is very nice and probably the best in Belconnen and possibly north side that I have tried. Good for a quick feed, but is very busy fat lunch time. Will go back as they ran out of beef with basil and chilli! One small and one large dish cost $16 eating in. Please note that the address on Trip Advisor is incorrect. It is located on Level 1 at The Churches Centre next to Westfield.

After reading great things about this place and being someone who loves Thai food I thought I would give it a go. Entree was Satay sticks which I did not like, the satay sauce was tasteless. Main we had red curry chicken, this was ok and we had stir fry chicken in satay sauce, this dish I thought had no taste, very bland. So I will stick too my normal Thai restaurant.

Really authentic Thai food. Thai restaurants in Canberra are everywhere, but this is the only one I have found that doesn't "Australian-ise" there food. Spicy, fresh, authentic. I travel from the southside just for Thip's, it's the best. If you are looking for somewhere with ambiance this probably isn't the place for you.

Greatly little thai restaurant. Park across the road and walk across the footbridge - puts you on the right level. Reminds me of food I got in Thailand. Simple and 'home cooked'. Great service by the lady who runs the place. Have visited twice and will visit again on my coming trips. Reserva una mesa ahora
