I love the Colossal Cafe on Como and have been there dozens of times, but this was my first visit to the Grand Ave location. We weren 't greeted when we entered. One of the servers got their hair cut, so they finished the conversation before acknowledging us. That is fine people should enjoy their jobs and I don 't expect the world to stop for me. When I ordered, the sever forgot half my order. That is fine, people forget things. The silverware was dirty, which is fine, sometimes people miss things like that. The food here is amazing! I wish they had dinner too. It's like combining the power of a million chef grandmother's and outputting them into food. Every part of a meal or sandwich is made with love from scratch!The dessert options vary a ton. Which can be a bummer if you go in and there isn't something you love, but they always have Good Cinnamon rolls and cookies.
It is Tuesday, June 25, around 8 a.m., and I must commend the chef who prepared my breakfast. They followed my instructions perfectly, and the food was incredibly fresh and expertly made! This will definitely be my go-to place for breakfast. Amazing restaurant!
if you like stale baked goods and undercooked doughy pancakes in a corporate atmosphere, you’ll really like this place. if you’re looking for good food in a home town cafe look elsewhere.

Pancakes/Flippers tasted like raw dough and no flavor, and a side of burned bacon, the coffee was good. 2nd try there, definitely not going back.
The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. I thoroughly enjoyed dining outside, though the interior was lovely as well!
This is an excellent breakfast spot in the neighborhood. When you visit, be sure to try a biscuit with their homemade jam.
